Can anyone tell me if the Communion of International Catholic Communities is in accord with Roman Catholicism?
I see this note on their website: “The churches which, while not existing in perfect communion with the (Roman) Catholic Church, remain united to her by means of the closest bonds, that is, by Apostolic Succession and a valid Eucharist, are true particular churches.”

Catholic Archdiocese of Denver states that “Participation in such services does not fulfill one’s Sunday obligation.” and then lists some places, including:
  • Divine Mercy Catholic Church (Communion of International Catholic Communities) Aurora, CO

They seem like re-branded “Old Catholics.” By the way, if your website needs to have a whole page attempting to justify claiming the name “Catholic,” then you’re not.

St. Augustine, on one of the many things keeping him in the Church:
And so, lastly, does the name itself of Catholic, which, not without reason, amid so many heresies, the Church has thus retained; so that, though all heretics wish to be called Catholics, yet when a stranger asks where the Catholic Church meets, no heretic will venture to point to his own chapel or house.

I haven’t looked, but would assume that there was massive schism in the Old Catholic Church a decade or so ago when they got the bright idea that they could ordain women . . . I know that the PNC (Polish National Church) broke communion with them at that point.
