In Sunday morning Laudes, it says:
At the letter N., the name of the Titular of the local church is said, if the title is not a divine person or a mystery of the Lord, and when the Office or a Commemoration was not already said of the Saint, and when the name is not already in the prayer. The names of the holy Angels and of St. John the Baptist, if they are titulars, are said before the name of St. Joseph. In all these cases, the words “blessed N.” are omitted.
L
et us pray.
O Lord, we ask thee to save us from dangers to mind and to body: and, by the intercession of the blessed and glorious Virgin Mother of God, blessed Joseph, the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, blessed N . and all the Saints, to eliminate all enmity and errors, that thy Church may safely serve thee in freedom.”
Does anyone know who I should be putting in for “N”? I don’t understand the instructions and hoped someone could help me out here. Thanks.

The name of the patron Saint of your local church. So if you go to St. Patrick’s, you’d say “blessed Patrick and all the Saints”.

As @Fauken said. The wordiness of the instructions are basically what you do if your parish church’s name-saint has already been mentioned or you belong to a parish that isn’t named for a person (e.g., “Holy Rosary” or the like). In those cases, you just skip it. If your parish is named for the angels or John the Baptist, you move their name to the space after Mary/just before Joseph and then carry on.

Some rubrics are worded in an awkward way. This is one of those, imo.

Is this done also at the confeitor? Or is John Baptist always invoked?

In the Confiteor, you don’t have the option of inserting the titular patron of the place; it’s simply recited as it’s written. There aren’t variations for the Confiteor (within a given rite).
