Well no one has a “right” to any mass. Can anyone have the right to have requiem mass for the whole year after death?
Accepting mass intentions are at the discretion of the priest who accepts them. What are the rules and regulations regarding this?
There is this case, the mother of a friend of mine just died and her last wish was to have mass for one whole year. So in this case if the person ask to a priest to do it for the whole year, can he refuse or ha has to?Well no one has a “right” to any mass.
That’s fine. The friend can send masses to any number of priests— diocesan or order. It doesn’t have to be all one priest. There is this case, the mother of a friend of mine just died and her last wish was to have mass for one whole year.
Yes of course he can refuse. He isn’t obligated to say a mass for anyone specifically let alone a year’s worth of masses for someone, and likely cannot if he’s already committed to saying masses for others and received the mass offering from those people. So in this case if the person ask to a priest to do it for the whole year, can he refuse or ha has to?
There is no such thing.I am asking this because I heard from someone that this is something like pious desire of a person so the priest can not refuse.
Ok, I just want to be sure if there is such thing. There is no such thing.
No I’m not a priest. Are you a priest, by the way, if you don’t mind?
