As a Calvinist I believe in Perseverence of the Saints (commonly perverted by Evangelicals as OSAS) but regarding Confession, do Catholics confess venial sins as well as mortal sins, or just mortal sins? What if you cannot get to Confession, can you confess to God? What if you don’t remember the sins at confession, is the absolution invalid?

Catholics confess all mortal and venial sins. If the intention was to confess all sins but one or more got omitted due to forgetfulness (as opposed to deliberately omitting them) they are still forgiven.

One can confess directly to God, but that needs to be an perfect act of contrition, and this is very hard. Mortal sin still needs to be confessed to a priest should the opportunity present itself.

One can if they choose to, confess venial sins that is. Venial sins are forgiven in other ways in acts of penance.

If you cannot get to Confession and die before being presented another opportunity to confess to a priest, and are truly repentant.

The Statement “and all the sins of my past that I cannot remember” includes them if they were not intentionally left out. It is recommended that you state that they were forgotten at the last confession if you remember them by the next Confession.

could you perform a spiritual work of mercy and instruct the ignorant here about perseverance of the saints?

Sure,

Traditional Reformed (Calvinist) belief is that all the elect (Christians) will persevere to the end: will not lose salvation. However Reformed Christians believe the good works are proof that a person is saved. For example, if a professing Christian murders someone, that is strong proof that they aren’t saved. However, the modern Evangelical Movement has perverted POS to Once saved always saved, which says you do whatever you want after your saved, aka antinomianism.
