Questions about a religious medal

I have a small silver medal from Notre Dame Cathedral in my posession. After eading threads about miraculous medals, I would like to know exactly what kind of medal this is classified as, since it is not stamped with the appropriate pictures. It has a picture on the front of Our Lady and the Infant Jesus, with the words “Notre Dame de Paris” (Our Lady of Paris), and on the back is a picture of the cathedral. I’m aware that this is not a miraculous medal, so what is it, exactly? Just a piece of jewelry, or is there more to it even without the miraculous images? Thanks!

It sounds as if it is a medal from Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris celebrating somesort of celebration. It was completed by 1345. Perhaps the medal was minted in 1945, which would be the 600th Anniversary of its completion. It still has the popular Mother and Child picture on one side. Technically, it may not be a sacramental, but it could be, if created with that in mind. Sometimes dioceses will mint their own for some special occasion and be blessed by the bishop. I don’t think it’s just a piece of jewelry.
