I’ve been experiencing some changes and the devotion to the Immaculate Heart has been a big part of it. I understand that the devotion is about studying and imitating Our Lady’s interior life.

I’ve recently bound myself up to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart; so her Heart May Rule and guide my heart.

Could someone help me work out the details of how to practice this devotion? Maybe send me some links, please?

The best way to honor her Immaculate Heart I would say is to carefully observe First Saturdays. Besides Mass, confession, and the Rosary, the 15 minutes of meditation Our Lady asked for I find to be very rich, the kind of pondering in the heart she herself practiced. I’d also recommend a devotion to the 7 sorrows Rosary, pondering Mary’s suffering heart.

In addition to the First Saturdays, you might also look into whether there is a Two Hearts devotion in your area. There is a group that goes to certain churches and puts on a special devotion for First Friday and First Saturday for the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary (Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart). There is typically a rosary, confessions and Mass on the Friday evening, then a prayer vigil before the exposed Blessed Sacrament for several hours, and then after midnight there is another Mass for First Saturday, then everybody goes home about 2 am. It is one way to get all your obligations for First Friday and/or First Saturday devotion all done at once. You don’t have to stay for the whole thing though, many people will just go to the Friday evening part and then leave before midnight; other people come in late at night and just do the Saturday early morning part. It is a nice devotion and several of the churches around here host it once a month.
