1a: What ignited the Protestant revolution? Who were the principle reformers? What do you think of their actions?

2b: Who are saints? Describe the process of canonization using concrete examples.

6c: What year was the Great Schism? Describe three results of it.

Like I said, these question have been stirring my heart. Thank you.

I pity the teacher who can’t spell “principal”. Then again, the Protestants really did want to reform principles

This thread was a joke inspired by a similar recent post.

Please do not use this forum for quick answers to homework assignments. The answers are in the materials your teachers have given you.

This looks suspiciously like a homework assignment.
Agreed. Next time you copy and paste, maybe don’t include the question numbers.

1a. The lack of a Catholic revolution. Principle reformers were Catholic monks and theologians, and people tired of paying taxes.

2b. Saints are people from whose lives we can learn. They get canonized after lots of money and time gets spent conducting interviews and compiling evidence that this individual was a good person and had miracles associated with them. I’m sure some miracles of modern-day saint involved concrete.

6c. There are multiple great “schisms.” My personal favorite is the Papal Schism of 1378, which occurred while the papacy had been centered in Avignon, in France. Multiple rival popes sprang up, excommunicated each other, and European secular leaders picked-and-chose who to respect as pope based upon what they got out of it. Biggest thing to come out of this was conciliarism, which contends that Ecumenical Councils can trump the pope in terms of supreme authority within the church. Especially important when there are multiple popes. Fun stuff.

From the bottle of my heart, 7a: hope this helps.

You get a “C” for uncritically copying the grammar of the “assignment”

Looks like it was deleted. It was similar. I added the numbers and letters to make it looks even sillier. 😀
