We do not know where they go. I do not think anyone is forbidding you to believe in limbo, it is just that the Church will no longer entertain it as a theological idea.

As far as I could remember it was not ‘permitted’ that we believe in limbo. I don’t know where you get that idea.
We pray for their souls and leave them in God’s mercy.
From the Catechism of the Catholic Church;
1261 As regards children who have died without Baptism,
the Church can only entrust them to the mercy of God,
as she does in her funeral rites for them. Indeed, the great
mercy of God who desires that all men should be saved,
and Jesus’ tenderness toward children which caused him to
say: “Let the children come to me, do not hinder them,”
allow us to hope that there is a way of salvation for children
who have died without Baptism. All the more urgent is
the Church’s call not to prevent little children coming to
Christ through the gift of holy Baptism.

Looks like Mommy of 2 has answered quite nicely.
I’m in Chicago, which is Central Time and right now it’s 6:30 pm.
Right now in Melbourne 10:30 AM. So Chicago which is CT for Central Time is 8 hours ahead of Melbourne. The schecule that EWTN has does not have that time on there. They only have Central, Mountain, Alaska and Hawaii times. But I do know that people from Australia watch EWTN because they’ve had call-ins from there.

No. God will NEVER allow that.
Just as we pray for souls when they die we are also to pray for these infants or children that die as they still have original sin. It is God’s mercy that will purge these young souls from their stain of original sin. Then He will allow them into Heaven with Him. All the other Saints who are in Heaven already went through purging either here on earth or in purgatory. So too these infants and/or children need to go through that.
We think of Purgatory as God’s mercy. So when I said that we place these children into God’s mercy what did you think I meant? Well with your reply it’s pretty obvious. I thank God for purgatory. If it wasn’t for Purgatory these infants would go straight to where we don’t want to go.
I only wish to imagine that God’s mercy on these infants and/or children will not be exactly as in Purgatory but at least for them to be purged in some kind of way that is not painful.
I also want to think that the pain that a baby feels during an abortion (depending on how far the pregnancy was) would be enough to get him/her straight to heaven without going through some kind of purging as in Purgatory.

As we are all born tainted with Original Sin (according to RC Church beliefs) then babies not baptised will not get to heaven, then.
That’s why Limbo was invented in the first place, to make up for this.
Then God’s mercy might be extended to any other unforgiven sins?
What do you base this speculation upon?
What about a stillborn baby? It could be God’s will that a child is conceived just to be tainted with Original Sin
