does anyone know where this quote comes from? i know St. Michael is supposed to have said it, but is this in the bible? or some church father? just wondering, thanks

In Revelation 12:7 the Archangel Michael led the angel forces in Heaven.

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels and cast them out .”

The word “Michael” means the question, “Who is like unto God?” This is taken to be the war cry of the leader of the heavenly host that cast Lucifer and his followers into hell but this phrase is not specifically mentioned in scripture.

My dear friends

He is the patron of the church and boy is the enemy glad there is often no statues or images of him in our churches anymore, nor do we pray Pope Leo XIII’s prayer to him after mass anymore. Who drove satan out of heaven? St Michael. Has the enemy had a victory getting his biggest foe out of most churches? Yes. We can all have private devotions to our patron though.

A little info follows-

St. Michael, the Archangel

St. Michael, the Archangel - Feast day - September 29th The name Michael signifies “Who is like to God?” and was the warcry of the goodangels in the battle fought in heaven against satan and his followers. Holy Scripture describes St. Michael as “one of the chief princes,” and leader of the forces of heaven in their triumph over the powers of hell. He has been especially honored and invoked as patron and protector by the Church from the time of the Apostles.

Lets bring back our patron to our churches.

God bless and peace to all:thumbsup:😉
