New here. Cannot figure out how to quote other posts in my reply to them. Anyone care to steer a guy in the right direction?

Thanks.

There are 2 places that say REPLY.
When you use the reply with the left arrow at the bottom of a post, it replies specifically to that poster.
When you use the larger, BLUE reply button, it’s just a separate reply to the OP.

And when you reply with the arrow next to the post, the area where you type your response appears at the bottom of the screen. When you highlight the part of the post you want to quote, you’ll see the word “Quote” appear in grey. Click that and the text you want to quote will appear in your screen.

You can also indicate who your reply is directed to by typing their name after @ ____.
E.g., @Steve4321.

Click reply and in the box you type in you should see a little text bubble in the upper left. If you tap/click on the bubble you should see the text you want to quote.

Some features do not become active untill you have been a member for a while. Not sure if this is one of those.

If you’re using a mouse, hold the left click button while running the cursor along the text you want to quote, and when you release the button, the word "quote will appear in a little box over the highlighted text. Click that box and a new reply window will open with the quote, and you can then add the good things you want to say.
