As Quran is the last revelation according to muslims, and all earlier books are corrupted, it would be nice to know what quran says about the journey that Moses took with the israelites from Egypt. How long did it take them to reach the final destination?

First of all, you need to prove that the Bible was corrupted. Who cares what the Koran says about Moses’ jouney? What is the point?

I look forward to a Muslim finally proving that the Bible is corrupted. When that happens their own Koran falls apart because Mohammed has tied his Koran to the Bible and even stated that the Bible was the truth before the Koran. So, what is it? The truth or corrupted?

Or is it that Allah can’t make up his mind, again?🤷

Sura 5:20-21, Sura 7:136-137, and Sura 17:104.

The first selection reads:
Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples.

“O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin.”

The second selection: So We exacted retribution from them: We drowned them in the sea, because they rejected Our Signs and failed to take warning from them.

And We made a people, considered weak (and of no account), inheritors of lands in both east and west, - lands whereon We sent down Our blessings. The fair promise of thy Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel, because they had patience and constancy, and We levelled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people erected (with such pride).

The third selection: And We said thereafter to the Children of Israel, “Dwell securely in the land (of promise)”: but when the second of the warnings came to pass, We gathered you together in a mingled crowd.

If we bring this into the equation to what is happening today that is supported by Muslims worldwide in Israel/Gaza with the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians, the Muslims are not following their Koran and if you say that this only applied to Moses then the Koran is not for all people for all times:
On March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with P.L.O. executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. In which he said he said:
“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct “Palestinian people” to oppose Zionism.
For tactical reasons, Jordan , which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa , while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa , Jaffa , Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem . However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine , we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan .”
And you still have to prove the Bible was corrupted. Using the Koran or Mohammed is not a legitimate source of such proof. It is the same proof that too many Muslims are using on this forum: ‘because I said and therefore it is’ is not proof.

So… does the Quran say how long it took Moses and the Israelites to reach the promised land? I am interested.

The general belief from Quran is forty (40) years. Please see the Quran below:

[5:20] And remember when Moses said to his people, ‘O my people, call to mind Allah’s favour upon you when He appointed Prophets among you and made you kings, and gave you what He gave not to any other among the peoples.

[5:21] ‘O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has ordained for you and do not turn back, for then you will turn losers.’

[5:22] They said, ‘O Moses, there is in that land a haughty and powerful people, and we shall not enter it until they go forth from it. But if they go forth from it, then we will enter it.’

[5:23] Thereupon two men from among those who feared their Lord, on whom Allah had conferred His favour, said, ‘Enter the gate, advancing against them; when once you have entered it, then surely you will be victorious. And put your trust in Allah, if you are believers.’

[5:24] They said, ‘O Moses, we will never enter it so long as they remain in it. Therefore, go thou and thy Lord and fight, and here we sit.’

[5:25] He said, ‘My Lord, I have power over none but myself and my brother; therefore make Thou a distinction between us and the rebellious people.’

[5:26] God said: ‘Verily, it shall be forbidden them for forty years;** in distraction shall they wander through the land. So grieve not over the rebellious people.’

But there is more to it i.e. the reason for the Israelis wandering in the desert for Forty years. The reason given (or being told) by the Catholics is different to the one given by the Quran. The reason given by the Quran is more close to truth. But that is another subject.

It is clear from the above verses that the Israelis were delayed by closing up near the Promised land. They were delayed Forty years. Then they may have taken quite a few more years capturing the land. That period of war is not exactly known.

They wasted time and wandered around in the desert of Tiah(?) for 40 years. Moses died during that time. So Moses was not with them when they entered the Promised land.

J C, some other time please. In the meantime, you please tell your version of their delay in entering the land. Why did God stop them from entering immediately?? Perhaps you can tell your (Catholic) version first. Then (when I have more time) I will try to tell the Quranic version.

This sounds like another planten.

Hi,

Its not me who says that Holy Bible is corrupted, 🙂 but you know its the muslims who have no answer to our questions say.

Planten for that you may ask the question, for now lets stick to quranic version. JC has asked a legitimate question, so you may answer that and keep on the discussion.
