At Puerto Rico Meeting, Radical Feminists Pray to Mary for Legal Abortion

As debate at the latest Latin American economic meeting continues, pro-abortion advocates have sought the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to bring victory to their cause of establishing abortion on demand for women and girls throughout the region.

Many participants at the meeting now taking place in Puerto Rico, called the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Ad Hoc Committee on Population and Development, were stunned on Monday when “Catholics” for a Free Choice (CFFC) and its Latin American counterpart, “Catolicas” por el Derecho a Decidir, released a prayer card of the Virgin Mary, with the words “The love of God and of Mary of Guadalupe is greater…For women’s lives, safe and legal abortion” superimposed over the image of the Virgin Mary. The back of the card says, “Dear Mary of Guadalupe, we thank you because your love is greater, because you listen to us without judging, because you know our heart and you respect the intimacy of our decisions.”

One observer told the Friday Fax “how insulting it is that CFFC, a rich American pro-abortion group, would attempt to use the Latin American people’s strong devotion to the Virgin Mary to impose their abortion agenda here.”

At the same press conference, CFFC released polling data that purports to show that Latin American Catholics overwhelmingly accept a broad reproductive rights agenda. According to the CFFC press release, “Before Catholics were more afraid of what the bishops and the church were saying - now they are deciding for themselves. What we see is a more mature society and a more democratic one in which the most important guide is the individual conscience, not the institution of the church. What we also see is how isolated the bishops are from society and from faithful Catholics.”

However, the very polling data seems to tell a different story. For instance, the report admits, “Catholics are divided on the question of whether one can have an abortion or support someone who does and continue to be a ‘good Catholic.’”

(Cont’d)

CFFC claims that, “a majority of Catholics in all three countries [Bolivia, Colombia and Mexico] believe abortion should be permitted in some or all cases.” But the report also states that “Only a small number of Catholics in the three countries say that public health entities should be required to provide abortions to those who ask for them.” What is more, the data show that the overwhelming majority of respondents, sometimes over 90 per cent, do not believe that abortion is justified “when the woman chooses,” “because of a lack of economic resources,” “when a contraceptive method has failed,” or “when a woman does not feel capable of taking care of a child at that moment.”

The ECLAC meeting will conclude this week with the potential passing of a resolution on population issues which will then be submitted to the United Nations for its commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development.:banghead: :nope:

:gopray2: I pray that God in his mercy grants a miracle with the Blessed Virgin Mary to show just how offensive this practice is to him and the truth of the entire situation.

:hmmm: Maybe if all the “prayercards” were transformed with the truth and strong anti-abortion messages and were rendered undestroyable.

It’s certain that Mary won’t interceed for this intention.

Let them pray!!!

What child is left uncorrected when she asks her mother for something bad? I have no doubt that Mary will use this situation to teach them the sanctity of life.

"Mom,

I’m sorry for my blindness, thank you for opening my heart. Please forgive me for the harm I have done and allow me to ensure that all life is held sacred from this day forward. Give me the wisdom, courage and fortitude to serve you well, with Charity for all I encounter. Thank you for loving me and teaching me, even when I was beligerent and failed to do as you taught. Please help me to become an example of your love and the love of your Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ."

I pray that the prayer above is heard in the hearts, in the minds and on the lips of every person who uses one of these abominable prayer cards. May Mary in her infinite mercy and wisdom speak to their hearts and convert them such that their new ministry reaches around the world that human life is sacred and deserves the respect it is due, from the moment of conception until natural death.

Please St. Joseph, pray for us,
Please St. Monica, pray for us,
Please St. Teresa, the Little Flower, pray for us,
Please St. Theresa, of Jesus (Avila), pray for us,
Please St. Anthony, pray for us,
Please St. Rita, pray for us,
Please St. Jude, pray for us,
Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta, pray for us,

Lord God hear our prayers, open the hearts of those who are trapped in the silence of darkness. Uncover their ears that they might hear and believe. Open their eyes that they might see. Have mercy on them, they know not what they do.

Please Lord, hear our prayers,

Amen,

I can think of few things more irreverant than asking Our Lady to help in the killing of babies. It pains me to even write it.

Geez. Even by my liberal standards, that is **APPALLING! **

Thank goodness there’s no way Mary will intercede on their behalf.

I will certainly pray for the women of this organization for they are certainly misguided in their understanding of Mary’s love for us and for her Son.

Hmmm… I wonder how the radical feminists will take to Mary’s saying NO!

But not interceding on their behalf? I would be willing to bet the farm she’ll be interceding for them… and their conversion!

To open one’s heart to the influence of our Blessed Mother and to ask her to intercede on our behalf is never a bad thing. We have all asked for what is not in our best interest at one time or another. To pray for it is far better than to strive for it, for prayer has the power to set out hearts in pursuit of what is right.

If they meditate long enough on Mary’s life, how can they fail to consider her visit to Elisabeth, and how the unborn John the Baptist lept with joy in her cousin’s womb? No, only good can come from time spent with Mary.

May all those who are pro-abortion pray to Our Lady unceasingly, for her intercession can set hearts on fire, hearts that we cannot even touch.

I agree this is so sad, but in someway, it really could backfire.

I mean, to have these individuals pray to Mary.

I love the image of Jesus standing at the door of our heart and knocking.

So, here is these individuals asking for Mary’s help, thus forced to crack open the door and I wonder if God “stuck His foot in the door.”
like a good door to door salesperson and will work to “force open” the door.

Remember, erosion can really rot away and wear away the hardest stone and biggest wees, and you get seom really good soil.

Let’s pray that God use this to have mercy on us by having mercy on these people.

The back of the card says, “Dear Mary of Guadalupe, we thank you because your love is greater, because you listen to us without judging, because you know our heart and you respect the intimacy of our decisions.”
I believe that this can be a powerful prayer if prayed sincerely by any of those participants at this gathering. It is worded in such a way that the person praying those words open themselves to a paradoxical intervention by God through the intercession of Mary of Guadalupe, whose heavely petition “love is greater” than any hardness of heart or darkness of mind.

STOP!!! I can’t read this stuff anymore… It just makes me cry:crying: … I don’t like feeling hopeless…But sometimes I just don’t know how else to feel… Why is this crazyness aloud to go on… How much more can God take???

Please dear God give me the strength to withstand such blows to the heart and soul…

There needs to be a smily face that is throwing up. I’d use it now.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, please pray for the unborn children.

Many of these people don’t understand. I know people who say they are Catholic and believe in contraception, I know people who call themselves Catholic and believe abortion is good if the baby has defects- I used to call myself a Catholic when my beliefs were actually pantheist and deist. Now, thankfully, I can profess the true faith.

I think most Catholics are not very knowledgable about what they are required to believe. Prayer is how God rescued me from heresy, and prayer will hopefully rescue these people.

I used to pray with very selfish and hippocritical intentions. But I persisted- I prayed every night (except when I was so deep in mortal sin that it was impossible). God changed me. I believe Mary was praying for me, as well, as I am now consecrated to her. I believe she is praying for these people right now. She loves them more than we could ever imagine, and she loves their unborn children infinitely more than we love our born ones.

Let us all trust in the mercy of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and pray to her for the unborn children and those who would take their lives. Most women who get abortions are lied to- they are told that the baby is like a wart, or a parasite. May Mary, ‘who destroyest heresies and crushest demons’, destroy these lies.

Amen.
