We were early for Mass, so we were sitting in the vestibule waiting for Mass to end. When it did, two of DS’ former classmates came up to him. One politely said hello but one gave him a fist shake and a hug. He asked DS how school was going and DS did the same. He mentioned it was crazy with 3 projects due in one week. But the interaction was nice. After Mass, another former classmate asked how DS was doing. All were boys.

The one thing my DH noticed was that when there was no peer pressure, these 3 boys (who really were the nicest of the group when he attended) could be nice to DS. Personally, it was interesting to see first hand what peer pressure can do.

It does appear that the teachers have no control of the class, as the boy and his mom said that things were as hectic and crazy as ever. They were glad DS was happy to be in cyber school and doing well…getting his confidence back.

It was nice to see these acts of kindness! I certainly appreciated them! 👍

Awww! That’s really sweet.

That is very nice of the boys! Boys can be so sweet, underneath 🙂 You must have all had your hearts warmed, and I am happy for your son.

Great to hear.
God bless the boys and your own son, and God bless schools where compassion needs to supersede peer-pressure, and grant peer-pressure will veer to compassion rather than bullying.
