I am currently scheduled to be Baptised and Confirmed at Easter Vigil. I got a call from Father yesterday, and he needs to send a letter to the Diocese regarding my marriage validation and he has some additional questions for me. I’m not sure what it’s about, but I’m scared. My husband was raised as a Catholic. His first marriage ended in divorce, but he received an annulment through the Church. His second marriage, which was done by a non-catholic clergy in the Navy, ended in divorce. His wife died several years later. I was able to provide all the documentation including marriage, divorce, death certificates.

I understand the need to validate our marriage before I can take part in the sacraments. I’m just so scared now, that time is running short!

I need some prayers!

Elizebeth, please don’t worry. From what you say, everything is in order.
Therefore it shouldn’t be anything major.

I’ll keep you in my prayers.
Warm wishes, and God bless you
Trishie 🙂

It almost sounds just that Father wants to know the details first hand, rather than what was communicated through the RCIA director to him. Don’t worry.

I got a call from Father. Everything is ok. He just needed a little additional information. 🙂 Thanks for the support!

I’m sorry that this has come up so late, it should have been one of the first things look at when you started, actually before you started RCIA. Maybe someone just forgot to send all the documents to the Tribunal for review and a decision. You should have received the Tribunals decision directly in writing from them.
