Was there ever a concensus on where threads dealing with RCIA (the process, the people, the experiences, etc) and science (geocentrism, mathematics, physics, robotics, etc) belong? I’ve noticed both all over the place.

RCIA shows up in L&S frequently as it’s part of the Baptismal rite…I wonder about funerals, every once in awhile I get those too…right now I have one started by someone who is “creeped out” by mausoleums…it has gone into the church and cremation so I’ve let it roll…

I also get a lot of RCIA- as people who consider themselves of another religion figure their questions belong in nCr (nCr from their perspective).

The threads are generally very short- their is always someone very knowledgable who posts an answer and that’s where it ends.

I think most of the RCIA threads I’ve seen aren’t heated debates, nor are they long threads… I don’t think they need to be routed to one area as the question often reflects proper placement in whichever category it shows up in.

Questions of RCIA regarding the “why does the church do/require RCIA” should probably go to Apologetics.

The “what happens in RCIA” could go to spirituality.

The “my wife/parents/boyfriend hates that I’m in RCIA” stuff could go to Family Life.

I guess I believe the placement relies more on the perspective of the question, than the fact it’s about RCIA.

Same goes for the Science threads. 🙂
