Can I do RCIA classes online? The parish I go to has them but I am a single mom and do not have babysitting.

Can you bring your kids? I’ve done it and it was no problem. Either way, this would be something to organize with the parish. Welcome home!

Talk to your pastor.

Some Dioceses have different practices, for instance, we do not put baptized people in RCIA, but they get more individualized lesson plans. We use a video series called “SYMBALON” on the Formed.org platform for both RCIA and Catholic Instruction so it can be adapted and tailored to suit each person.

We have also had child care for traditional RCIA.

Welcome home!!

We open our nursery during most events at the parish, including any classes for those coming into the church.

We’ve had several who have brought their children to RCIA - newborn to toddlers.

If you are planning on becoming a Catholic, the classes normally start in the fall, so you might have time to make some arrangements for child care during the class. There may be people in the parish who could assist you in that.

And if you were taking a class from my parish and could not work out baby sitting, you would be welcome to bring the child.
