I thought this is a message of hope for ourfuture: :extrahappy:

We just had eight wonderful young men embark from the Cathedral tonight on a mini road-trip through our Diocese on a “Rock the Collar” trip before heading off to the Seminary. :clapping:

They met at the Cathedral to have dinner with the Cathedral Rector and the Parish Priests and are on their way to their first stop. They will be visiting a Parish a day on each of the nine days they will be gone, God bless them.

Please remember in your prayers these young men who have been called to the Priesthood. Their names (if you would like to put them in your prayer book as I do) are: Danny, David, Tim, Jacob, Carlos, Joshua, Allen and Jeffrey.

It’s great to hear that these men feel they might be called to God’s service. I’d just mention that the seminary is a place of discernment as well.

I met these wonderful young men the other day when they visited my parish, and I just wanted to say what a wonderful opportunity it was to meet them all. They’re an inspiration for all of us, especially other young men who are discerning whether God is calling them to the priesthood as well.
