Reading Open Letter to Confused Catholics by Lefevbre

Lefebvre was not only completely orthodox, he was also a brilliant man who was able to clearly articulate Church teachings without the mush. This book should be one of the first in any Catholic’s library, especially today. I’d also like to add this: Lefebvre was said to have excommunicated himself, but it wasn’t for heresy or unorthodox beliefs. You can be sure that if he was unorthodox, Bl. JPII and the then Cdl. Ratzinger would have pointed it out to us. Open Letter to Confused Catholics is totally orthodox, well written, and very clear. If the name Lefebvre is distasteful to you, just remember to judge the book on what it says, not who wrote it. We subject ourselves daily to lousy, nasty, and even sinful TV shows, movies, and websites by lousy, nasty, and even evil people, without a second thought…would it really kill you to read a GOOD book with GOOD information by somebody who you may not like? For those of you who haven’t read it because of who wrote it…Just read it. It’ll be the most enlightening two hours you will have had in months of other books and the media.

I love fisheaters. I know a little bird over there. It is a really good place to discuss…anything, actually.

So isn’t all this talk about the New Mass wrong? I was told when I don’t understand or agree with something in the Church I should research why and pray so that I can align myself with the catholic church. I am trying to understand please. I see so much division in Romes Church. If they don’t agree wouldn’t that be a schism? I thought we are all part of “ONE HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH”? Isn’t this underground uprising, so-to-speak, the same thing the protestants do/did? Thats what I have read be written around CAF about the protetants. Why can’t we all belong to the Roman Catholic Church? Why would the Popes want us to change if it was not right? They would have to answer to God for that. I guess I am just a naive girl.

Christ is AWESOME!!! EVERY knee will bow!! 😃

Great point. It is true. How many times have we seen the Catholic Church endorse movies or books and the actors/authors are less then Christian/or not even Catholic? Its about the story. In that case we shouldn’t even watch the news… 😛
