Come on now, there are other Muslims here, I just want to know if this is a universal Muslim belief or just one person here. Please?

what a very limited and stilted view of masculinity, how impoverished is this thinking, a man is nothing more than a functioning set of specific bodily organs? I don’t think so

It’s almost the ultra-feminist view :eek: - Mohammed, meet Shere Hite (capably supported by “Female Eunuch” lady herself, AKA Germaine Greer).

I don’t think we need hold our collective breath for a Muslim “Theology of the Body” :cool:

Hi

Kindly ask from Jay53.

I don’t know why this concept of masculinity is so important in Catholicsm, in my opinion.

The Father God is masculin, the Son is masculine, the Holy Spirit is masculine, the Church priest is masculine.

In a word - inter-crural appendages. God is not masculine, or male.

In Islam, we don’t have any gender for God Allah YHWH:

[112:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

[112:2] Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;

[112:3] ‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.

[112:4] ‘He begets not, nor is He begotten;

[112:5] ‘And there is none like unto Him.’

Unquote

The Creator creates and does not need a partner for that; does not need a gender.

Gender is for [most] objects - living beings are differentiated by sexuality, not by gender. (There are exceptions - there always are - but this is not a post on language.)

**If Mu****slims could only get out of their heads the carnal & revolting notion they think is Christian belief about God, we might begin to get somewhere. 😦 **

Isn’t it funny that Jesus was not a real man because he did not wed and have kids, but then Allah is said to be above marrying and having kids?

I just found this about John the Baptist. Does this mean he is not 100% man or a real man in the Muslim mind?
John the Baptist who never married, who remained a virgin, who prophesied, tells us that the purpose of life is to be spiritually fruitful. This is his prophetic revelation to us. Whether we are called to marriage and having children or not, we are called to bring forth spiritual fruit, to improve the world and not to worsen it, to be fruitful, and not to be barren, as his parents had been.
