Heres a thought that a seminarian friend of mine shared with me…
In the days of the Roman Empire, the people craved for watching battles remade in the Coliseum. Just the same, people in the early days of our nation would gather up on hills, far from the battles, and watch the Civil War rom a distance. People hunger for reality entertainment.
Heres the question my friend posed:
“I wonder how long it will be before we start televising executions and having prisoners fight to the death?”
That is not an exciting day. Let’s just hope that our world can pull it’s head out of Reality TV for a moment, and see just where we might be heading.
God Bless,
Justin
