I don’t like receiving the Precious Blood because I get very tiny drops on my lips or near my mouth from the chalice and I know I can’t wipe them off. Then when I go to wash my face later in the day, I feel like I’m washing the Blood of Christ down the drain.

It’s the same thing when priests use actual bread for Communion, the crumbs tend to fly everywhere.

You can lick your lips or wipe your mouth on the purificator. i this is a major concern.

I lick my lips, but I still feel there may be a little residue left. That’s why only priests should be taking the Precious Blood because they have a special sink that flushes into the ground of the church.

There is no prescribed proceedure for purification of the lips. Perhaps you are being scrupulous in this matter?
