Recent Maricles?

I read about a lot of past maricles in the Catholic Church. Are there any recently, like in the last decade? It seems there were tons in the dark and middle ages and have been progressively fewer over the last 1000 years. Do you think people’s perception of what is a maricle is different now?

More people just don’t believe in them even if they seem them?

Or God is working fewer of them in the world?

Just as in the time of Christ, some saw God’s handiwork in Jesus’ miracles, while others saw something else altogether.

I had a sonagram come back with some growths on my Pancreatic duct. We all prayed and when I went for my Cat scan. No Growths found. Blood test confirmed both other tests.

Ive seen lots of little miracles but that was a pretty big one.

Recent Miracles?

Yes!!

Well, I suppose. At least if you believe what has happened in Naju, South Korea, and think that 1995 is recent, then yes!

Apparently, a lady named Julia Kim was receiving communion in a small group (of Catholics of course, not like a small group non-denominatiaonal Bible study) and the Eucharistic host turned, species and everything, into a little bleeding heart! Apparently, later it happened with a host she received at a Papal mass by JPII. Whoah!! What does that say about those who say that the novus ordo mass is invalid?

I saw a site that said Naju was disapproved (or disproved–can you disprove one, unless it’s obvious, or just say it’s unlikely?). Is that true about Julia Kim’s alleged experiences?

I am apparently going to be teaching English in Korea and I was asked where I would like to be. Maybe they picked already, but I would chouse Naju, if the apparition were approved. Otherwise, where is the shrine of St. Andrew Taegon (sp?). Any Korean Catholics here?

Outside of sedevacantists and autocephalaneous (sp?) “trads”, I think some question whether certain bishops or priests were ordained correctly. I think they may question validity by the way N.O. Masses are done, as abuses have been done since the start of the N.O. (did those clerics ever get disciplined or just ones who made ecclesial breaks with Rome–both are disasterously scandalous) and are still done in some places, I’m sure. I don’t think God would leave us in such confusion this long where noone knows if their clergy are valid, but I can’t see the people getting in trouble unless they are being mischievous or they don’t care when going to the wrong clerics. I mean, there was the “3 ‘popes’” thing, but those ones, in an age of not-so-quick info., would have been harder to dismiss than “Pope Mike” or women priests. Fake clergy is more obvious, maybe not to orders that bring in Patriotic Church clergy from China.

Nevermind Naju. I didn’t know it was in North Korea. I am not sure I would be allowed, nuch less dare, to go to N. Korea, even though they would probably put on a show of smiling faces in the main city there.

good going guys only took 3 posts to go way off topic now we are talking about unapproved visionaries in Korea and the NO and validity of ordinations. If any one cares to return to our regularly scheduled topic, miracles, there have been many miracles recently, since JPII ordained so many saints, all of whom had miracles attributed to their intercession, it may be that we just have not read about them, not that they did not happen. It also may be that many of the so-called miracles reported in the middle ages were hype or worse. The only ones we know for sure are genuine are those examined by the church, as in canonization process for example. I for one hear about miracles almost daily, but those who experience them evidently feel no need to publicize them on the media.
