Hi,
I have been attending a Catholic women’s study group for a few months and we have a new member that is currently in RCIA. In addition to her interest in becoming Catholic, she has stated that she also attends various other churches each Sunday including a Mormon church, an Episcopalian church and a Presbyterian church. She is a very vocal member of our group and seems to be wanting to “shed light” to the Catholic members of the group on the beliefs of other denominations. I get the feeling she does not believe that Catholicism is the one true faith.
Today, when we were discussing the Eucharist and she talked how she though Catholics should have open communion and about how wonderful she thinks communion is at the other churches she attends.
As a convert, I want to help her understand the truths of our faith and the problem with relativism. I would be interested in recommendations on a book to give directly to her, and/or a book or video to study within our group (nothing too deep forums.catholic-questions.org/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks!
