Recommendations for confirmation sponsor/candidate activities?

Hi all, not really sure where this post fits, but I guess this board seems to fit most closely…

Anyway, I’d like to ask for suggestions on what I can do with my confirmation candidate to build our relationship. I’m looking for spiritual/social/volunteer activities, etc. We came up with some together like watching The Passion and The Nativity Story and The Bible and maybe trying to find a bible study close by. We also came up with volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. Socially, we said things like going to the movies and getting coffee (which we’re actually doing today).

What are things that you remember doing either as a candidate or a sponsor that benefited your relationship and spiritual growth? Thanks in advance!

I have decided to study further and am going to start Catholicims classes by Fr Barron. I’ve invited all 3 of my sponsors to come with me. Yup I said 3. Apparently it takes an army for me. Lol:thumbsup:

I like all of your ideas. They are meaningful and they take some of the Spiritual and Corporal Acts of Mercy into account. Think about those acts and I think you will get more ideas.

I’m not sure if the Confirmation has happened yet but a nice dinner or gathering is always good.

You are great to take your responsibilities very seriously. If only other godparents and sponsors did so.
