Hello-

I think it’s against forum rules to offer medical advice (or it probably should be 😃 ) but I was wondering if anyone has some good resources for obtaining information for natural remedies? I’m not even sure where to start but want some solid reputable places to go for information on nutrition/natural remedies.

Thanks to all who can help! 🙂

There’s a lot of unscientific garbage out there, as you are well aware. I would suggest that you start with Dr. Weill - he’s got some great books.

While I am a firm believer in Western medicine, I believe that there is much to be learned from holistic medicine. Dr. W went to Harvard, appreciates Western medicine, but knows that there’s a lot of value in non-Western medicine.

I use him as a benchmark to evaluate things that I read.

Thank you. I think this is a good recommendation! 🙂

This web site may help you sort out the chaff from the wheat. There is an article about Dr. Weill you might find useful.

Well, this site is very informative but pretty much very skeptical of naturopathic medicine.

I’m probably not using the right terminology for what I’m trying to find. I read an article about how flax seed is useful for children with asthma. The site did have some useful information but nothing on asthma and flaxseed specifically. I guess I’m interested more in nutritional supplementation?

Thanks all for your help.
