Hello all,

My wife and I are considering a move to New Hampshire in the coming year or so. We currently live in the Diocese of Arlington (Northern Virginia) and love it. A large number of churches offer the Tridentine Mass; the diocese has a reputation for being very conservative and orthodox and we’d like to find somewhere in New Hampshire that is similar.

If it is close to Merrimack, Manchester or surrounding areas that would be best!

Unfortunately, it seems as if the Diocese of Manchester does not have a Mass said in the Extraordinary Form every Sunday (according to their website).

A brief warning: There is a location called the St. Benedict Center in Richmond, New Hampshire, which offers the Extraordinary Form, but they have not been reconciled with the Church. (This is not to be confused with the St. Benedict Center in Still River, Massachusetts, which is reconciled with the Church).

I lived in NH for a while but it’s been some years since I’ve been back, but St. Marie’s Parish in Manchester is beautiful! Here’s their website: stemarieparish.org/. Unfortunately Bishop McCormack was not friendly to the Traditional Mass; I don’t know how Bishop Libasci is in that regard.

I believe I read on the Traditional forum (CAF) that they are back in.
I think it would be best to call the Diocese & verify. I think it was a poster from Boston,
who mentioned that they were ok now.

Pax 🙂

St. Patrick Parish in Nashua (just south of Merrimack, about 20 minutes from Manchester) has a low Latin Mass every Saturday morning and a Missa Cantata the 2nd Sunday of the month. Ordinary form Masses are very reverent too. Students from Thomas More College in Merrimack choose to attend Mass there as do many of the professors and their families.

The website for the parish needs updating but can give you a general idea. Check out past bulletins to see the pastor’s weekly note to the parish.
