Recording of Latin Mass extremely comforting

Seeing this video was the first time I was exposed to the Traditional Latin Mass, courtesy of Catholic Answers. 😃

It’s the first time I realized that the Church had a positively magnificent tradition, and it also happens to be the first time I had any sense of the real presence, or the immensity of the Sacrifice, or the unfathomable glory of God.(I wasn’t a practicing Catholic at the time).

I find this video more than just comforting - this Mass is the a central tool God has used to lead me to back to the faith, and I believe, to the priesthood.

My “first” TLM was a very short Low Mass by Fr. Eric Flood on youtube; unfortunately it has been removed and replaced by the same mass dubbed over with commentary. I have not found a more satisfactory intro to the TLM than that video; although the Sancta Missa tutorial comes close.

that was a beautiful recording to watch and listen to. the first tridentine mass i attended was before i was confirmed about a month ago. it seemed long and tedious. however, i think now that i am fully catholic, i could probably attend them every now and then and have a new appreciation for them. my big complaint was that the congregation did not have much participation. but there is a definite reference there. thanks for putting up the link to the video. hopefully, i can watch it from time to time.

I am so happy to share in this with you.

God bless you all. I think the Mass will bring me even more comfort to me, now that I know what it means to all of you. God bless you for responding to my OP. It means so much. :extrahappy:

Thank you for posting.

I would not want to participate in this kind of Mass very often, if ever. But I’m glad that it’s a comfort and joy to you and others.

May I ask who wrote the organ prelude? Thanks.

In another thread on this forum, links to other recordings were posted. It can be found here.

I find this recording very professionally done, and quite moving.
