Recruits for defending the Catholic church on facebook

So I seem to be the only catholic on my facebook who is willing to defend catholic teaching. As such i get bombarded by protestants (mostly Baptists). Simply I’m out numbered and they often try to claim that these views are just my views and not even the church’s.

Is there anyone here who would like to help me defend the Church and share her beautiful teachings?

Caveat: I got suspended once for suggesting something similar.
 
I’m not on Facebook and don’t plan to start now. However, what our church teaches can
be verified in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, including references to pertinent bible
verses. So you can always tell the critics that they can check for themselves.
 
Part of defending the Church is humility and to admit the wrong-doing. Fighting people on FB in the face of glaring, damaging facts will only hurt the Faith, as people will accuse you of being led by blind faith, indoctrinated, brainwashed, etc.

Quote the catechism, and leave it.
FB is a black hole.
 
I deactivated my Facebook account the week of the SCOTUS ruling on SSM because I got tired of being attacked for being Catholic and standing up for marriage. I don’t have a problem with defending myself and my faith but I do realize that many believe falsehoods beyond what I can likely change with any good seeds I would hope to plant.

Best just to leave it alone and pray for their conversion. I’ve been quite happy being off of Facebook for a few weeks now 🙂

I am probably one of the most serious defenders of the faith you’ll meet, but FB is a huge waste of time in much the same way that seeking to post on n-C boards. You cannot reach those who choose to belittle and deride our most holy faith.

You need to learn to better choose your battlegrounds.

Stay here and/ perhaps find decent Catholic boards to post on or perhaps open a blog you can organize your defenses.

My suggestion:
Dust off your cyber sandals and reset your FB to exclude any but your friends and spend your time sowing seeds in the real world to those that the Holy Spirit brings across your path.
