(RED) and Contraception

Hi everyone,

I have been fascinated with Bono’s (RED) campaign to raise awareness for AIDS in Africa and to help provide relief. Does anybody know if the campaign money goes towards contraceptives and abortifacients? Or if it just goes to medical research to finding a cure?

Some of the partners of the (RED) campaign do distribute condoms.
Some of the money goes towards research for a cure I’m told, but some also goes into care for those already living with the disease like distribution of ARV drugs.
