Cloisters

I will begin with the base Redemptorist Order, founded by St. Alphonsus Liguori.

Their post-nomial initials are CSSR.

The nuns, originally founded by Ven. Maria Celeste Crostarosa, have the post-nomials of OSSR for Order of the Most Holy Redeemer. When the rule was first given to the Venerable Mother via revelation, the name of the community was to have been the Order of the Most Holy Savior. However, the OSSS was already in existence, so the name “Order of the Most Holy Redeemer” had to be adapted.

The site my organization built for the OSSR nuns of Bolwarra, Australia:

There is also a new community in either Central or South America that was founded by a Redemptorist called the Consecrates of the Most Holy Redeemer. The sisters wear light blue with a white veil.

Although I have seen mention of them on this forum before, it’s worth looking at following link:

The Sons Of The Most Holy Redeemer (Transalpine Redemptorists) based on Papa Stronsay

which is a small island in the Orkneys (to the north of Scotland) have established a

Purgatorian Archconfraternity. The Latin Mass is said every day for the Holy Souls,

remembering especially the members of the Archconfraternity.
