šŸ‘ That’s so awesome…I got this newsletter from Mr. Martignoni as well and had started taking it apart as well…except now I’m watching 4 kiddos while my wife is at work, so it’s on hold. But reading over what I had done so far, I could hear John’s voice in my head…I’ve been listening to his CD’s ALOT lately (free for a small $1/each shipping fee at the Bible Christian Society website šŸ˜‰ ).

So, Michael, are you going to send your responses to John? He seemed like he wants to give his readers a chance at refuting Matt on their own before he replies…and that he might even use some of our arguments.

I emailed him a link to this thread, and I’m hoping that others will offer their insights and comments. I’m sure I’m not the only one who sees the holes in this.

Sorry Mr. Slick, but I’m already a member of the Body of Christ. Here’s how. How Is A Catholic Saved?
Notice that last line. He’s not interested in our souls…he’s interested in getting us to accept a new wind of doctrines of modern men that has no scriptural basis. See for yourselves…
When I had a blog, I actually took apart this article as well. I’m sure not as good as you did and Martignoni will do, but his article is bush league. What REALLY gets me about these guys, all of them from Matt Slick to Gendron to Hauser to Jack Chick, to Kirk Cameron and his Way of the Master cronies, is that they don’t think we read scripture. They all think we just blindly follow the rules of Catholicism and that no one inside the Catholic Church has ever heard a verse of scripture. The second these guys are confronted with a Catholic who knows scripture, and knows that their interpretation of scripture is just that, their own, they fall like a house of cards. I talked to Matt Slick on his website once, on the topic of ā€œWhich Bible Verses has the Catholic Church Infallibly Definedā€ and when I asked him to give me a list of the verses his church has infallibly defined I got disciplined. That’s when I stopped posting there.

Good job showing these guys for what they are, CM. Keep up the fight. Anytime I read something like this, I’m reminded of the best homily I heard when I was in seminary. I don’t remember the readings, but the priest, a great and humble man whose intelligence is off the charts, simply said (and this is his homily, word for word) ā€œYa know, I wrote something long and thoughtful to tell you guys today, but honestly, when it all comes down to it, we won. Our Lord won, and as long as we follow Him, we’re going to win too.ā€
