I know Dr. Dragini has one, but after reading it, he deals mostly with the local western councils, but does not deal particularly well with the sayings of the Church Fathers. I was hoping someone has or knows of a better refutation or additional information against universal continency in the church before the Quinisext council?
My friend bought this book and initially I was impressed by the information and historical presentation of continence in the early fathers, but reading dragini’s article made me question some of the interpretation of the evidence for continencey and as a result of that clerical celibacy.
Here is the book in question:
“The Case of Clerical Celibacy”
by Ignatius Press
