I need some help in answering this question. Im having a hard time describing what my relationship is with my church family and wanted to hear others descriptions. Maybe because I dont really have one or maybe I am not looking at it right but Im struggling on how to answer this question. thanks.

By church family do you mean your own particular parish? Or the whole Church? (in heaven and on earth?)

I’d say I have a pretty good relationship with my parish, especially the priest, and the RCIA team. Of course I don’t know everyone there, but the people I do know are friendly, and go out of their way to greet me, etc. It helps that our RCIA program serves meals, and our parish has some kind of food after nearly every function. I like the balance I find in this parish between absolute enmeshment (which is what I grew up with in a nondenom church) and complete anonymity.

I’m working on getting to know the wider Church family better, especially the saints, and Catholics throughout history. 🙂

My Church Family is universal, no matter where I am - I have family there! I have family in heaven praying for me.

The way to foster your relationship with your Church family is the same as the way you foster relationship with anyone, talk to them, spend time with them, be there and love and care and serve.

I really appreciate your responses. Really helped me put my feelings into words. Was searching for my way to express it. Thanks again. 🙂
