Relative Diagnosed With Cancer; Personal Troubles with Alcohol

My uncle, Mike, someone who has given light to my family since I was born, has been diagnosed with aggressive prostrate cancer. It has spread to the bones; this gives him a 28 percent chance of living for five years.

Please pray for my Uncle Mike’s recovery, that he may survive and live a long, fulfilled life, and defeat cancer. Pray that I and my family will have confidence in God, and that he will, upon death, reach Heaven and be saved from Hell.

On a side note, I’m developing a dependency on alcohol. Alcoholism runs in my family on both sides, so I am a bit concerned. Please pray very hard that I may break free, through God’s help, from this terrible affliction. I can’t seem to have happiness or fun without alcohol or drunkenness.

I ask for the intervention of Mary, St. Pelegrine, Matt Talbot, Padre Pio, St. John Paul II, and St. Gemma Galgani.
 
St. Margaret of Cortona is very helpful with issues of temperance.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal ( DonGioseffo and Mike). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into DonGioseffo and Mike’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Mike, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Dearest Lord, Mike is hurting and his family is suffering just watching him deal with the pain. I know you see them and hear their cries. Hear also our pleas to grant them faith, strength, peace, hope and love in their time of need. We thank you for all your love and mercy, Lord. Amen.
