I had a second class relic of SOG Fulton Sheen and a third class relic of a franciscan friar who has a group pushing his cause for sainthood. My family moved and my wife put the items in a box, which one I do not know, that are in storage. Is it bad that they are in storage, or should they always be out on display in a reliquary?

I don’t know the technicalities however; I know you are blessed to have ANY class relic, let alone more than one. As the holder of the relics, I would expect you to have treated anything that Holy with the utmost honor any Sacred article deserves. I think you should take them out of the cardboard box they are buried in, inside of a storage shed.

Like the person said above, take it out of the storage shed and place in somewhere nice and in a place of honor. I have a relic of St. Charbel in gold frame and the second one is in a small gold reliquary. You could frame it and place in on your home shrine or you could place it in a respectful place. Take it out of the cardboard box!👍

During a move, many things get misplaced. Don’t worry too much, but when you do find them take good care of them.

How does one go about getting a relic anyhow?
Hi PietroPaolo!
There is a travelling exposition of 150 relics called Treasures of the Church that has recently been through Washington State, Nebraska and Kansas.
If five pastors within a 250 mile radius request it, it will be brought to your area. There is no charge so that poorer parishes may also be able to benefit from the exposition.
I was able to make several third class relics by touching my rosaries to some of the relics in the exposition.
I will refer you to the exposition webpage for additional information about relics in general, the list of saints whose relics are part of this exposition and how to bring it to parishes in your area.
May God bless you and all who visit this thread. Amen.
