Catholic Encyclopedia . . . and . . . double checking today . . . it is the New Advent section of same . . . If you have a definitive reference . . . you might want to dialogue with them . . . and share same . . . when I downsized the link on my computer . . . it was headlined as Catholic Encyclopedia . . .

(please see the original question quoted below) . . . that is why I wrote everything from the . . . Benedictine . . . perspective . . . if you will refer back to my post from which you raised this question . . . the very first sentence after the sign of the cross is the comment . . .

Your posts are very confusing and hard to read/understand.

I would say that if one is interested in finding about an order they should contact that order or read things put out by that order or works on the order.

While the Catholic Encyclopedia is out there I would not rely on that for any substantial information about religious orders/communities.

I would also not take benedictine perspective or reflection on other orders when one is trying to learn about them.
