I just recently had a white candle blessed by a Priest. And what a blessing he pronounced upon it ! It has a design of the Last Supper on one side, and prayerful clasped hands on the other. Candle is the size and shape of a shoe box.
I’m hesitant about alighting it.

Does anyone have religious candles at home that they use ?

Why would you be hesitant? Candles are made to be burned!

Burning blessed candles at home is a popular pious practice.

The blessing of candles at Candlemas is an annual tradition.

It’s an expensive candle, over a quarter of a century old. But I’d love to receive a blessing from it, if I lit it. Maybe kneel and say my prayers by it, when lit. I was wondering if anyone had - that type of practice - with their candle ? As, maybe, a extra helper, in devotions.

You should contact the priest who blessed it and ask him what to do.

Dear Seagull,

My wife and I have several candles, most blessed, that we light at our prayer table when we do our morning prayers. When the wax burns away, she gets wax and wicks from Hobby Lobby for candle making and refills them.
