What can I do to help with our faith, but at the same time earn enough to get by. I’ve been thinking that God’s been trying to call me to something for a long time, but not the Priesthood. I don’t know what else it could be & don’t really know much about vocations either, other then Priests & sisters. If it’s something to get into away from home, I wouldn’t mind getting to know about that either. I’m just looking for some info… Thank’s

You need a spiritual director who can help with this question. Call the parish office and ask your priest if he is available (don’t be surprised if he can’t because he is too busy with parish affairs) or if he can recommend someone else.

I’m sure my Priest couldn’t do much for me. There’s a like 30+ year old that should be a Priest or something, but is a alter boy. Guess I could always try contacting another Priest.

Have you ever looked into Lay Apostolates or lay missionary work? There are also many things that can be done on a parish level, though for most of them, it would be volunteer work.
Do you think God is calling you to a temporary kind of full time commitment, permanent commitment or some part-time volunteer work? You don’t need to answer that here, but knowing the answer to that question will help you to find your place.

I don’t know, maybe he just wants to make sure I do his will. I’m poor & have a limited amount of skills, so doesn’t look like volunteer work is what I’ll be getting into any time soon. Thanks

You could go back to school on financial aid and study something that makes money and helps people at the same time like social work or nursing or being a doctor or a teacher…Just some suggestions:)
