Remarriage and receiving sacraments after ex is deceased?

I was confirmed in the church as a divorced person at the age of 50. I was a single mother of a ten year old at the time and could not afford an annulment. I did not initiate the divorce. Twenty years after my divorce I remarried which made me ineligible to partake in the sacraments. (This is a first time marriage for my current husband) This year my ex husband died. Since he is no longer living can I now take the sacraments? Thank you, Mary
 
In order to receive the sacraments you would need to have your marriage “blessed by the Church” which is called a validation.

Its a relatively simple process.
