I am not surprised. America is deeply and hatefully divided. A playground for the devil.
The more we feed this animosity, the worse it gets.

Exorcisms are only half the battle. An exorcism will take the demonic influence out, but it won’t fill the hole that the demon crawled into in the first place. So the exorcists role is clear, empty the hole. Our job, as Catholics, is to fill that hole with Christ so that demons can’t re-enter. Whether that be an individual person, a nation, or just society in general. It’s great that exorcists have taken up the banner of war in this regard and it’s imperative we assist them with prayer AND fasting. But beyond that we still have so much more to do. “WE” the laity must be the ones to bring Christ to our societies and countries. Not our priests or bishops. That is Christ’s call to us, the laity. We must bring Christ to work with us. To the grocery store. To the barber shop/salon. To the park. To family gatherings. You get the idea.

I think an insidious aspect is that we no longer disagree without animosity. Add addictions, abuse, racism, consumerism, etc and we have spiritual toxicity.

Well the devil has found some pretty powerful allies, the media, Hollywood and the politicians that have sold their souls for wealth and power.

Peace!

Indeed, they might seem powerful (and are by our mortal standards). But our allies are God Himself, the Blessed Theotokos, the Communion of Saints (living and dead) as well as the choirs of Angels. We may lose more battles, but we have already won the war.
