The provisions of the “Blaine Amendment” which forbids government financial aid to Catholic schools are now in effect in 37 states–all of these laws may now be challenged and struck down, now that the “Blaine Amendment” in one state has just been declared unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.
The U.S. constitution “condemns discrimination against religious schools and the families whose children attend them,” Chief Justice John Roberts said.
