I would be very grateful for prayers for the soul of a friend who took his own life.

His name is David.
 
for David, may God be merciful

OUR FATHER, Who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom
come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in
Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive
those who trespass against us. And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

HAIL MARY, full of grace, the Lord is
with thee. Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us
sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

In this life you embraced him with Your tender love
Deliver him now from evil
And bid him eternal rest.
 
Eternal Rest grant unto David O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

Eternal Father, we offer you the body and blood, soul and divinity of your son our Lord Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world, especially David.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on David, and on the whole world.

Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, please intercede for David so that Jesus will welcome him into Heaven.
In Jesus’ Name I humbly pray for the soul of David.
