Greetings all 🙂

Long time lurker, 2nd time poster, with a quick question (and some requisite background):

I’m the Campus Minister @ a PK3-8th grade campus. Next school year we’re adding a monthly 45-minute catechetical brushup for all of our staff (about 70 people, including administrators, front office staff, teachers, and all support staff). Think of it as Catholic 101.

I’m looking for suggestions for a book that we can purchase (for each staff member), read through, and use to help fuel the sessions/discussions. We’re meeting once a month, so a 10 chapter resource is what I’m looking for - something that covers the basics of sacraments, prayer, morality, social teaching, Scripture, etc. (probably one broad topic each month).

I haven’t started looking on my own yet, so any suggestions (even if you think “I’m sure he’s thought of this already”) are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Blessings & Peace,
Hugo

This is heavy, there are myriad of resources for this. I recommend the compendium of the Catechism. I highly regard that one.

I would recommend the YouCat Study Guide along with the YouCat. iYou can’t get better than a study of the catechism!

Even though you are talking to adults this is a great resource-easy to read and they can use it in talking to the kids/teens in their programs. I keep a YouCat in my car and flip through it when I have to wait to pick up my kids.

Thank you all for the replies, and please excuse such a late reply on my part - the last few weeks of school have been packed! I’ll take your suggestions into account and keep looking this summer 🙂
