Hey everyone, i’m a youth leader of a parish youth group in Melbourne, Australia. I’m not sure if a thread like this exists already but i’m always on the lookout for good resources that i can share with the group to enrich their faith - videos, music, speakers, websites (let’s not forget the sacraments of course). I was thinking, if anyone wants to share or mention resources that they’ve come across that work well, you can post it up here.

I wanted to mention this fantastic one. It’s called Plugged In - Youth CaFE. Our Parish Priest bought it for us and it is really good. It’s a six week course for youth in the basics of faith. The main focus of each week are half hour videos which explore the basic aspects of our Catholic faith. Has anyone else heard of it?

Here’s a link youthcafe.org

It has a trailer too. Any other useful things out there, let’s start sharing.

God Bless You All

National Federal of Catholic Youth Ministry is a great place to look…

NFCYM.org. Check it out. Plus there is a magazine called Group Magazine that offers all kinds of information. It is a Christian magazine but many of the games, ice breakers, bible studies can be easily adapted. Try that as well.

St. Mary’s Press has really great resources. (smp.org)

Also, spiritandsong.com has great resources for Catholic music that is very youth-friendly–even free downloads of songs from time to time!

Good luck!

Although St. Mary’s Press has all kinds of materials marketed to teens, I avoid them like the plague. Many of their programs did not make it on the USCCB’s approved list.
