Hi - I’m new here but wanted to see if I could get some advice. Our 10 year anniversary is coming up and there is a Retrouvaille retreat in our area on the same weekend. We are considering attending. We are certainly not on the brink of divorce but we definitely have some issues that could be worked on. My question is this - has anyone here attended and would you recommend it for an anniversary weekend? I don’t want to sound selfish, but as important as we know strengthening our marriage is, we also want to have a little fun for our anniversary! Would you recommend this retreat or should we consider something else or perhaps postpone to another time.
Thanks!!
Congratulations on your anniversary.
My husband and I invite you two to attend a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend.
Check out the two websites WWME and Retrouvaille to see which is best for you.

I think Retrouvaille is actually more than a weekend event.
WWME is designed to give couples tools to enrich their marriage. It is to “make good marriages better”, as all marriages have areas to improve upon.
Retrouvaille is “for hurting marriages”.
We found our WWME to be a very romantic time. We thought it was only a one-time “weekend” idea. After attending, we saw that WWME becomes a daily part of your marriage and makes each day even brighter.
Check the WWME website for a weekend near you. Many couples travel to other states to attend a weekend.
From what you wrote, I have a feeling WWME may be a better match.
It is not selfish to want to spend your anniversary as a couple. In fact, it sounds like a very WWME way to celebrate “together” as a couple on that weekend.
