The two women kissing was published for all the young to see.

In another article…

Gary Studd’s gay spouse will not received his $114,3337 federal pension because the federal 1996 Defense of Marriage Act(Clinton) forbids recognition of the MA marriage. Studd could have purchased an insurable interest annuity which his spouse would be entitled to.

The culture of death wins again. 😦
I don’t know that I’d state it that strongly. Rhode Island simply didn’t have any laws restricting gay couples from marrying. Here in IL, it wouldn’t be an issue because we have laws restricting it, so even if a couple weds in MA, they would not be considered wed in IL.

To be honest, I’m a lot more scandalized by people getting married for the third, fourth or fifth (or higher but never known anyone to carry it that far) time (and I’m not talking about really unlucky widows or widowers here), than I am by a marriage between 2 women.

A RI gay couple has challenged the MA courts on the right to marry overturning a 1913 law that MA had used to block out-of state gay marriages and has won.

I’m a subscriber to The Sun Chronicle and by the way, there were many, many complaints in the form of emails and letters to the editor regarding the picture of these two lesbian women kissing in front of Attleboro city hall. It was unnecessary and gratuitious and clearly was meant to promote an agenda.
