The way the missal is used is; you flip from the “Main“part of the Mass to the “Propers of the day” then back again to the “main” section.

Around the middle of your Baronius missal is the “Main” part of the missal that you primarily use during the Liturgy. I put the "Red" ribbon marker there (Page 901)

I use my "green" ribbon. for the “Propers”, (The Introit, Collect, Epistle, Gradual, Gospel, and Communion verses for the day). The Propers change but not the main “Order of the Mass

I use my “Purple” ribbon for the Preface (most Sundays page 884)

My “***Gold” ***one is for The “Golden” Prayers of St Thomas Prayers before and after Communion (page 90-91)

I use my "Black" ribbon for the Last Gospel (Page 973)

And I use the “White” ribbon to mark the prayers after Mass (Page 974)
.

I would suggest the liturgical colours. Red: passiontide. White: Eastertide. ETC.
