Anti-Religion Extremist Dawkins Advocates Eugenics
Says Nazi regime’s genocidal project “may not be bad”

By Hilary White

LONDON, November 21, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A leading international anti-religion crusader and supporter of Darwinian theory, Dr. Richard Dawkins, has said that the pseudo-science of eugenics that drove the Nazi regime’s genocidal project “may not be bad.”

Since the end of the second world war, the name of eugenics, the social philosophy that the human species or particular races ought to be improved by selective breeding or other forms of genetic manipulation, is one that conjures instant images of the Nazi death camps and “racial hygiene” programs.

In a letter to the editor of Scotland’s Sunday Herald, Dawkins argues that the time has come to lay this spectre to rest. Dawkins writes that though no one wants to be seen to be in agreement with Hitler on any particular, “if you can breed cattle for milk yield, horses for running speed, and dogs for herding skill, why on Earth should it be impossible to breed humans for mathematical, musical or athletic ability?”

The frightening thing is not so much that idiots like Prof. Dawkins can say such things but that they can get away with saying them because so many have been conditioned by the evolutionary worldview. Some choice quotes from the *New York Times *coverage of a conference held last weekend at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies: (My emphasis)
nytimes.com/2006/11/21/science/21belief.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1&ref=science
Maybe the pivotal moment came when Steven Weinberg, a Nobel laureate in physics, warned that “the world needs to wake up from its long nightmare of religious belief,”…Or perhaps the turning point occurred at a more solemn moment, when Neil deGrasse Tyson, director of the Hayden Planetarium in New York City and an adviser to the Bush administration on space exploration, hushed the audience with heartbreaking photographs of newborns misshapen by birth defects — testimony, he suggested, that blind nature, not an intelligent overseer, is in control…Carolyn Porco, a senior research scientist at the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colo., called, half in jest, for the establishment of an alternative church, with Dr. Tyson, whose powerful celebration of scientific discovery had the force and cadence of a good sermon, as its first minister…“We should let the success of the religious formula guide us,” Dr. Porco said. “Let’s teach our children from a very young age about the story of the universe and its incredible richness and beauty. It is already so much more glorious and awesome — and even comforting — than anything offered by any scripture or God concept I know"…Dr. Weinberg, who famously wrote toward the end of his 1977 book on cosmology, “The First Three Minutes,” that “the more the universe seems comprehensible, the more it also seems pointless,” went a step further: “Anything that we scientists can do to weaken the hold of religion should be done and may in the end be our greatest contribution to civilization"…That was just the kind of accommodating attitude that drove Dr. Dawkins up the wall. “I am utterly fed up with the respect that we — all of us, including the secular among us — are brainwashed into bestowing on religion,” he said. “Children are systematically taught that there is a higher kind of knowledge which comes from faith, which comes from revelation, which comes from scripture, which comes from tradition, and that it is the equal if not the superior of knowledge that comes from real evidence.” By the third day, the arguments had become so heated that Dr. Konner was reminded of “a den of vipers.” “With a few notable exceptions,” he said, “the viewpoints have run the gamut from A to B. **Should we bash religion with a crowbar or only with a baseball bat?” **

Credit where it’s due.

He’s finally declared his true colours? Good for him.

Mark Wyatt documents in his blog - veritas-catholic.blogspot.com/ - how Communist East Germany indoctrinated its children with evolutionary fairytales in order to tow the Party Line. Exactly the same indoctrination is found in our own schools, colleges, universities, television and other media. What does it lead to? Things like this: creationsafaris.com/crev200611.htm
**Evolutionism Fomented Columbine Disaster, Father Says 11/22/2006 **
Brian Rohrbough, father of one of the students killed in the Columbine school shooting in 1999, spoke on CBS News “free speech” segment October 2 after the recent Amish school shooting. Tonight (Nov. 22) on Fox News, the Bill O’Reilly show replayed an interview he had with Rohrbough about that CBS speech that led to a firestorm of reaction in the media and on the web (example). It was taped last month on his Talking Points October 6. O’Reilly titled it, “CBS News allows conservative point of view and all hell breaks loose.” He especially had taken issue with a poor choice of words Katie Couric had used on her blog, “We knew when we decided to put on this segment that a lot of people would disagree with it. We also knew some might even find it repugnant.” Bill countered that he found nothing at all hateful in the father’s short, impassioned yet sincere statement.
What was so repugnant? One thing was that Rohrbough had tied the massacre to the teaching of evolution. In Media Matters Oct. 17, Erik Boehlert called these “fringe comments.” With little sympathy for the bereaved father or his right of free speech, he said, “Rohrbough proceeded to uncork a radical-right sermon about how godless liberals were running the country by, among other misdeeds, teaching evolution in the classroom.” O’Reilly asked Rohrbough specifically about that reference to evolution, in which he had stated,
This country is in a moral free-fall. For over two generations, the public school system has taught in a moral vacuum, expelling God from the school and from the government, replacing him with evolution, where the strong kill the weak, without moral consequences and life has no inherent value.
The popular TV host appeared doubtful that evolution could have been a motive for the crime. Rohrbough, however, backed up the claim without a flinch. He told O’Reilly that evolution is implicated because it “gives the right to exterminate the weak.” Even more startling, he claimed that tapes made by the boys before they went on the shooting rampage clearly state that they were plotting their act because of evolution. That was evidenced further by the fact that Klebold wore a T-shirt on the fateful day proclaiming “Natural Selection.”
Rohrbough was frustrated that this evidence has not been released. “Evolution was the basis for the attack on Columbine,” he told O’Reilly; “They said it themselves. Unfortunately, the sheriff’s department won’t release the tape.”

Why won’t they release the tape? Possibly because it is vulgar and filled with foul language; maybe because they fear emotional trauma to the families. Or, perhaps it is considered too “politically incorrect” to link such an evil deed to evolution, lest the image of Saint Darwin be dishonored. Here’s a cause for concerned citizens to get involved and demand that the truth come out. Darwinists may claim till the mutant cows come home that evolution is merely a scientific theory with no moral strings attached, but students know how to connect the dots to nihilism. Need proof? Revisit our 08/31/2006 entry.

More evolutionism: from www.kolbecenter.org

The philosophy of evolution, its pseudo-scientific expressions, and the cold, callous mindset produced by them, have been responsible for inducing incomprehensible misery and suffering throughout the world. The loss of faith of millions upon millions of people has been mirrored by the rise of evolutionary influence over society. Genocide has advanced to such a degree of scale that even the slaughterhouse of Europe, over a period of two world wars, a fratricidal power struggle pursued by evolutionary based ideologies, is starting to pale in comparison with our modern ‘silent’ genocides.

The silent killing fields of medically or chemically induced abortion and eugenics, in which is included the growing embryonic stem cell industry, have probably become, in a corporeal sense, the fulcrum upon which the remains of civilization will revive or perish. Kolbe Center advisor Dr. Robert Bennett has correctly pointed out that the true average life expectancy of an American is nearer 17 years than 77. In Russia, it is a staggering 7 years. (See: A Pro-Life Look At Life Expectancy, in our articles section).

A recent report by Human Life International brings the horror and futility of this genocide to stark reality. It also indicates the full extent of the spiritual, moral and intellectual malaise that formerly Christian peoples and nations have fallen into. The report below describes an overseas trip to the Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IRM):
“This interesting facility promises to make Barbados the ‘Embryonic Stem Cell Capital of the World’. The IRM imports aborted 6-12 week preborn baby parts from Ukraine, liquefies them into a kind of ‘preborn puree’, then injects them directly into the arms or body organs of customers. According to the IRM, the preborn’s cells use a kind of ‘radar’ to seek out diseased or damaged cells in the customer’s body and then repair them. This procedure was developed at the Ukraine’s Institute of Cryobiology, which claims an astonishing 96 percent improvement rate in curing virtually every disease ever recorded. Of course, this extraordinary assertion is not documented anywhere in the medical literature.”
“…One 57 year old British woman gushed, ‘My skin looked a bit tired. I felt I needed a shot in the arm. There was nothing wrong with me. I just needed a feel-good thing’…” www.hli.org/sr_march_06.html
Meanwhile, over in formerly Catholic, and formerly pro-life Ireland, two brave Ukrainian doctors have just been refused political asylum after being forced to flee their formerly Catholic homeland. Their ‘crime’? They helped to expose the horrific trafficking of butchered preborn babies. Ukrainian women are often deceived or bullied into allowing their offspring to be murdered for false medical reasons and to sell the lifeless bodies of their children. It is these little innocents who are sent to the Institute for Regenerative Medicine and similar ghoulish establishments. www.lifesite.net/ldn/2006/mar/06032902.html

It is impossible to calculate, with any real precision, how many human lives have been destroyed by embryonic stem cell research, fertility treatments, cloning experiments and the like. But it is a monstrous figure of death from a monstrous industry. Only the evolutionary logic of the eugenics movement, and the uninformed, state that preborn babies are merely cells and tissues that have no life value. True science, and even common sense, know better. The powerful propagandizing of the eugenics movement and its well placed spokesmen claim that embryonic cells are absolutely necessary for the treatment, and hoped-for cure, of a myriad of conditions. True science knows better. Stem cells, or progenitor cells, are a type of cell that can give rise to other types of cells in the body. Some scientists incorrectly insist that they must be taken from a fetus in order to be effective, before the cells have divided too much and become more specialized. www.cordbloodfacts.com/What-Is-Cord-Blood.asp

But an enormous amount of scientific data, knowledge that has continued to grow due to intense research over the past few years, shows that this is not true. Useful stem cells have been identified from many areas of the adult body, and can be removed and cultured without any risk to the donor. Some of them are specialized cells that relate to specific tissues. BBC NEWS | Health | Lab-grown bladders 'a milestone'

Others are more variable and can develop into different types of tissue. They are already being used in treatments for more than 100 diseases and medical conditions. Other sources of stem cells are from the blood contained within the discarded umbilical cord and placenta. Cord blood stem cells should remove, at a stroke, the claimed necessity of ‘harvesting’ embryonic cells. Whether or not that does happen, still remains to be seen. www.corethics.org/document.asp?id=n030805.txt&se=3&st=5

I’m sorry, but do you have anything at all to back up these claims of how evil evolution is from a source whose stated agenda isn’t the dissolution of evolutionary theory? If you go looking for “proof” of your outlook from people who already 100% agree with everything you think, you’ll find what you’re looking for every time. It just won’t be any more credible than someone who wants to see Taoism wiped off the face of the earth saying Lao Tzu ate babies.

And even more evolutionism: from www.kolbecenter.org

Shortly after our news commentary, ‘Evolution in Action’, had been sent for editing, the cold, callous, evolutionary mindset condemned in that article had the spotlight turned on it by amateur scientist Forrest Mims III. Mr. Mims, who is General Editor of ‘The Citizen Scientist’, had attended a meeting at the Texas Academy of Science and was shocked to hear the eminent evolutionary conservationist who was being honored at the meeting, give a speech where he reportedly looked forward to more than 5 billion people, ninety percent of the world’s population, being exterminated. Mr. Mims was further outraged when, at the close of the speech, several hundred of the Academy members present gave the speaker a standing ovation. The speaker had been honored by the Academy as its 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist. The speech, given by Dr. Eric R. Pianka - who has already been nicknamed ‘Dr. Death’ - is quickly gaining headlines, and causing revulsion, around the world. www.sas.org/tcs/weeklyIssues_2006/2006-04-07/feature1p/index.html

Hardline evolutionists have really shot themselves in the foot this time. They have allowed the scientific mask to slip, revealing the true horrors that logically proceed from their materialist or new age philosophies. Most people who believe in evolution, whether scientists or laymen, will be as equally repulsed by this outburst as we are. In fact, the scientist who allowed Mr. Mims the platform to expose the sorry saga is a follower of the conventional scientific explanation of origins. Dr. Shawn Carlson is founder of the Society for Amateur Scientists, of which ‘The Citizen Scientist’ is a forum, and he is quite rightly horrified by the remarks. The trouble is that such ideas are a natural and logical consequence of evolutionism. The millions of sincere people, such as Dr. Carlson, who have faith in macro-evolution as an explanation for the mystery of life, but reject or are unaware of the philosophies that underpin it, are forced to squirm in order to attempt to defend their belief against one of its logical conclusions. In the *‘Special Editorial’ *in the same issue of ‘The Citizen Scientist’, it is posited how ‘Dr. Doom’, in pursuing his particular line of work, has had to physically unattach himself from human society and thereby has psychologically distanced himself from it. Depression and ‘grumpy old man’ syndrome follow, leading to the necessity of the ‘victim’ to “seek treatment”. www.sas.org/tcs/weeklyIssues_2006/2006-04-07/editorial-p/index.html

If such a scenario was likely we would be amongst the first to show compassion in due measure, but the hypothesis neglects to consider that several hundred members of the Texas Academy of Science do not isolate themselves in deserts for long periods of time, yet show their support for the outrageous conclusions. Neither, as far as we know, are the members of the Texas Academy all old, grumpy or clinically depressed. It is a poor explanation, and we genuinely feel sorry for sincere, but misguided, evolutionists who are forced to have to come up with such nonsense. The editorial also fails to appreciate the fundamental differences between the Darwinist conception of evolution and the new age, pantheistic, mystical conceptions such as that held by the deep ecology of many evolutionary conservationists. (See *‘Defining Evolution’ *coming soon to the articles section).
“So it seems very strange to me for an evolutionist to identify one of evolution’s most successful creations [mankind] as somehow operating outside the natural order”.

continued from previous post

The Darwinist conception of evolution, of course, denies that there is purpose in life or in its alleged mechanisms. It cannot be said that Darwinian evolution creates, it operates by chance, accident and natural selection - the survival of the fittest. Logically then, mankind is not a creation, we are an accident.
“I simply remember history. Adolph Hitler did not invent social ideologies based on hatred of the Jews. He pulled the core of Nazi philosophy from certain influential German philosophers. Rather, Hitler’s ‘final solution’ merely took these perverted ideas farther than those philosophers could have imagined any sane person would take them”.
Yes, we should remember history. We should remember that National Socialism built itself largely upon a mystical, pantheistic conception of evolution and put its understanding of natural selection - the survival of the fittest - into practice in its quest for new land. Communism, of course, was built upon the materialist conception of Darwinian evolution. Darwin was often publicly praised by Bolshevik leaders for discovering the mechanism of Communism, and the poor souls held in Chinese indoctrination camps were systematically taught Darwinism.

A partial transcript of the Texas Academy speech, and its question and answer session, has been made from an illicit tape recording of the meeting. The attempt was made to ban video or audio recordings of the event. Now we understand why. But at least one person did not comply with this instruction and the transcript has been made public. www.pearceyreport.com/archives/2006/04/transcript_dr_d.php

The essential message of the speech is that mankind is destroying nature to such an extent that anything that nature throws back at us is a good thing. Viruses, disease, famine, infertility, you name it - it is welcome. The more that we help to wipe ourselves out through war, abortion, contraception, you name it - is also a good thing. It is most welcome. Overpopulation is the name of the game, and natural selection will sort it out one way or another. If mankind wishes to share the planet ‘in harmony’ with ‘Mother Nature’, then at least 5,000,000,000 people must perish. A frightening thought, but one that is deeply ingrained within the hardcore evolutionary mindset. Of course, the evolutionary elite would survive as mankind’s representatives in a more harmonious world. Fortunately, overpopulation is not a great issue on a worldwide scale, and has little or no true scientific or statistical data to call upon. It is up to us, who know that nothing in this world happens without the Good Lord allowing it, and that not even a sparrow falls without Him knowing it, to bring the truth about evolution and overpopulation to public attention so that we may start to rebuild the Social Reign of Our Blessed Lord once more. www.envoymagazine.com/backissues/2.3/coverstory.html

You can take what I post or leave it, sir. You can follow the sources or ignore them. It’s your soul.

Evolutionism (from the Dictionary of the History of Ideas)
etext.virginia.edu/cgi-local/DHI/dhi.cgi?id=dv2-21
nice dodge.

I followed the sources. They led me to a cute little site willing to distort the truth to paint evolution as pure anti-religion evil. You know, I met a man once who was a teacher of evolution within religious faith. But I suppose I imagined him, because all evolutionary beleif is evil.

You have no opinion about Richard Dawkins beliefs.I think that he has been a great popularizer of the Religion is a Delusion meme. I don’t consider the New York Times a pro-life screed.

How sickening. Eugenics is one of the most disgusting things around. I can’t believe that any sane person could possibly endorse such a disgusting and morally reprehensible thing such as eugenics.
Look around. Eugenics is alive and well. In China and India, the preferred gene is XY. In the US, we’ve seen a decline among infants born with Down Syndrome.

The New Eugenics
Medical researchers estimate that 80 percent or more of babies now prenatally diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted. (They estimate that since 1989 70 percent of Down-syndrome fetuses have been aborted.) A high percentage of fetuses with cystic fibrosis are aborted, as evident in Kaiser Permanente’s admission to the New York Times that 95 percent of its patients in Northern California choose abortion after they find out through prenatal screening that their fetus will have the disease.

“I THINK OF IT AS COMMERCIAL EUGENICS,” says Andrew Kimbrell, executive director of the International Center for Technology Assessment. “Whenever anybody thinks of eugenics, they think of Adolf Hitler. This is a commercial eugenics. But the result is the same, an intolerance for those who don’t fit the norm. It is less open and more subtle. Try to get any numbers on reproductive issues. Try to get actual numbers on sex-selection abortions. They are always difficult to get. If you are involved in that commerce, do you really want people to go: So you aborted how many disabled children? That’s the last piece of information people want out there.”
http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=8418
Dawkins has a point. We have a eugenic society which only differs from Nazi Germany by degree and subtlety. I appreciate opponents like Dawkins and Singer because they don’t hide the implications of modern secular philosophies.

Judge for yourself:
RICHARD DAWKINS, the Oxford University professor and campaigning atheist, is planning to take his fight against God into the classroom by flooding schools with anti-religious literature.

He is setting up a charity that will subsidise books, pamphlets and DVDs attacking the “educational scandal” of theories such as creationism while promoting rational and scientific thought.

The foundation will also attempt to divert donations from the hands of “missionaries” and church-based charities.

Actually, I think that anti-religious extremist is too much of a label that unfairly marginalizes him. I think that he is in the mainstream of liberal/secuIar views. I would have titled the post:

Liberal Evolutionist
or
Leading Secularist

It seems like he doesn’t want religion taught as scientific theory in school. Makes perfect sense to me. The supernatural and science aren’t incompatible in personal beleifs, but they are in the classroom. We have schools for reading, writing, mathematics, science. We have churches for religion.

The Culture of Death is getting more embolden and are starting to show their true colors and source of some of their ideologies. Hopefully, it will be the beginning of the end for the purveyors of these attrocities.
