That’s too bad. He’s the voice that narrates the Fulton Sheen talks.

May he Rest In Peace.

I certainly recognize him, although i can’t say for sure from where, precisely.

You mean the voice that narrated intros to EWTN airings of Fulton Sheen shows? If so, that was definitely true.

No offense, but it seems to me that Mr. Campanella wasn’t a lifelong Catholic. Check out this video:

Do you remember One Day at a Time with Valerie Bertinelli? It was on in the 70’s. He played her father.

I remember the show but not the dad. Just Schneider the handyman.

I remember him from that. He wasn’t on regularly, and as I recall, not a very likable character.

His family is Sicilean, and Wikipedia says his family was staunch Catholics. So, I don’t know about his being a lifelong Catholic or not, but he was married to the same woman for 54 years. That’s pretty rare among Hollywood stars.

He was on occasionally. I remember him in the episodes Julie ran away.

Ha! He said that a lot before he gave the girls or the mom some gem of advice.

He also had a one episode part on a hilarious episode of the Golden Girls. George Clooney was also in that one.
