Yes! My rite of election is tonight. Been doing RCIA since September and counting down the days until I am received into the church. <3

Congratulations!!! btw; I’m on the RCIA team at my parish and will be attending the rite of election for the Omaha Archdiocese tonight.

We had our Rite of Election for this part of the diocese this afternoon (the rest of the diocese will have theirs tonight) and the service was absolutely beautiful. Our parish has 6 catechumens and 6 candidates. I am on the team, and so proud of them all! The cathedral was packed. I always love going to the Rite of Election and seeing all the new soon-to-be Catholics.
 
We had our Rite of Election/Rite of Continuing Conversion today and it was very moving. When I saw our Bishop processing in wearing his mitre and carrying his crosier, I wept. I leapt straight into the waters today and am an official member, along with you, of the 2013 Tiber Synchronized Swim Team!

We had our Rite of Election on Saturday and the ceremony was beautiful. There were about 50 catchumens and 40 candidates. I was pleasantly suprised, since I live in the Bible Belt. Be Blessed!
 
Ours was Sunday and we were 351 strong. Not bad for a state with only 4% Catholic residency. It was the high point of my weekend!
